Silverwood Plantation was established in 1998 by W. Howard Netterville. It is located in Southwest Mississippi on the Buffalo River in Wilkinson County. We are 30 miles south of Natchez, Miss. on Highway 61, 120 miles south Jackson, Miss., and 60 miles north of Baton Rouge, La.

Silverwood Plantation consists of 3,000 acres of private hunting land. It has been managed for trophy white-tailed bucks since 1993. Open range and high fence hunting are available. Our Trophy Deer hunts constist of approximately 500 acres of high fenced area.

The price for High Fence hunting depend on the gross score of the animal. This year we are offering spring turkey hunts, but bookings are limited.

The price for a three (3) day open range hunt is $1,500 for one buck and one doe. Lodging is included and no trophy fees. Clients will hunt from box stands, ladder stands, and lock-on stand over river bottoms, oak flats, food plots and swamps.

The turkey season starts Second week in March and ends May 1st.

All Hunts include lodging, guiding services, transportation to and from hunting areas, and cleaning of game.

Deer Hunts

Trophy Hunts
We offer high fence trophy hunts for the hunting enthusiast. These hunts are 100% guaranteed. The fees for these hunts are based on the Boone and Crocket scoring system. The costs range from $3500 for a trophy buck with a Boone and Crocket score of 130 and an additional $200 for every point above that. However, currently our prices on our trophy deer are not expected to exceed $8000. A non-refundable deposit of 50% is due upon booking. The remaining 50% is due prior to the beginning of the hunt.

Open Range Hunts
Open Range Hunts consists of 2,500 acres of private hunting land managed for whitetail deer hunting. In an open range hunt the hunter is allowed to take 1 buck of 8 points or bigger and 1 doe. In the open range hunts we offer a diverse range of terrain, they include but are not limited to open field (biological) plots as well as hardwood, and river bottom locations. The costs for these hunts are $1500 for a 3 day hunt. A non-refundable deposit of 50% is due upon booking. The remaining 50% is due prior to the beginning of the hunt.

Hog Hunts

Hog Hunts consist of 3,000 acres of private hunting land that is managed for trophy hogs. Hunting consists of a guided hunt in which you may kill one hog that is 200 lbs or larger or 2 inch teeth or larger. Meat hogs are also available for $1.75 per pound live weight. The Price for this hunt is $800. This includes retrieval and cleaning of your trophy.

W. Howard Netterville has lived in Wilkinson County for over thirty years. The current 3,000 acres of property has been in the family since 1988, and has been managed for trophy wildlife hunts such as whitetail deer, eastern turkey, and wild hog since 1990. Howard and his wife Allison along with their children Lexi, and Fred live full time on the property. This allows them to maintain and produce a continuously improving h
