High Country Outfitters

Montana High Country Outfitters is licensed to hunt all of Montana's big game animals, and we have the country to provide the trophies. Our Forest Service permits cover over 500,000 acres of prime habitat that holds elk, mulies, whitetail, sheep, moose, goats, black bear, cougars, and grizzly. Our hunting area includes the spectacular Cabinet Wilderness area, and we are the only outfitter permitted to camp in the Wilderness. Located in northwestern Montana, we hunt some of the most productive terrain in the lower 48. The Libby, Three Rivers and Cabinet districts of the Kootenai National Forest have rugged terrain, roadless areas and light hunting pressure. That combination equals trophy quality game.

High Country OutfittersMontana High Country Outfitters is owned and operated by Tim and Conor Reishus. Tim & Conor are native Montanans with many successful years of hunting and guiding experience. Their guides are experienced. All have great hunting skills, and they select only guides that get along well with the clients. Tim and his guides each average over 20 years experience hunting big game. Most of our hunts are conducted out of our lodge. The day begins with a hearty buffet style breakfast. After breakfast, 4x4's are used for transportation up the mountain. Actual hunting is done on foot. At the end of the day, we return to the lodge for a home cooked supper, showers, and comfortable beds. We guarantee a clean, honest, hardworking operation that gives 110%.

We are well aware of the time, effort, and costs that go into planning Big Game Hunts. The success of your hunt, for the most part, depends on the knowledge, experience, character and integrity of your outfitter. We are licensed, bonded, and insured to operate in the state of Montana. (Outfitter license #965). Being in business as full time outfitters and guides and having satisfied clients from all over the states; our integrity speaks for itself. We feature good food, comfortable beds and spectacular scenery.High Country Outfitters

High Country OutfittersAbout Accmmodation Area
Montana High Country Outfitters is located in Northwest Montana. We hunt up to the Idaho border and within an hour's drive of British Columbia, Canada. We hunt 532,000 acres of the Cabinet and Three Rivers Districts of the Kootenai National Forest. We are a multi-species area with Elk, Mule Deer, Whitetail Deer, Black Bear, Grizzly Bear, Bobcat, Cougar, Moose, Sheep, and Goat. Lincoln and Sanders counties have produced many record book animals in many species.

The Lodge and cabin are located in the scenic Pilgrim Creek Valley about 3.5 miles from Noxon, Montana. The property is bordered by U.S. Forest Service lands on two sides, and has a small trout stream running through the middle. Elk, Whitetail, Mule Deer, Moose, Black Bear, Grizzly, and Mountain Lions cross through on a regular basis. Mountain Goats and Sheep are on mountains nearby.

About the Lodge and Guest Cabin
The Lodge is accessible by county road and the facilities are modern. Both the Lodge and the cabin are equipped with a washer and dryer, boot dryers, DSL wireless internet, hot showers, and satellite TV. You sleep between sheets on good quality mattresses. You will need to bring your clothes, weapon, ammunition, and your toothbrush. We have the rest covered.

We are set up for large or small groups. The cabin has plenty of room for seven. It was finished in 2006. There is a large, comfortable living room, a utility room, a separated toilet and shower, 2 sleeping areas, a porch (mudroom) on one end and a deck on the other end. It is heated by propane, and comes equipped with a poker table for guest use.

High Country OutfittersThe Lodge will hold up to 9 comfortably. There are three sleeping areas. One room has 4, one room has 3, and one room has 2 beds. There are two bathrooms. The kitchen, dining room, utility room, and office are downstairs. There is a large lounge area between the larger sleeping areas upstairs. There are 2 decks downstairs with porches. There is also a small deck upstairs with steps giving a separate access. The lodge is heated with wood.

Meals are served buffet style in the Lodge. The evening meal is a hearty home cooked meal. During Rifle season we serve large traditional breakfasts. During archery season we eat lighter breakfasts due to the short time period between dinner and breakfast. Our clients put their own lunches together. We offer a diversity in breads, lunch meats, cheeses, desserts, drinks, snacks, and condiments with which to make lunches.

It is our goal to give good service to our clients from the time they book their trip until all the loose threads are tied after the trip is over. If you fly we will pick you up, and return you on time. Once you are here you will get your meals, lodging, guide, transportation, meat packing and trophy care prior to a meat processor or taxidermist.

We will follow up and ship any items that need to be sent to you after you have left. Taxidermy, meat processing, and shipping will be the expense of the client. We will assist you in the licensing process and we will provide you with information as needed. Feel free to call us at any time. There are no dumb questions.

High Country OutfittersOur clients fly into Spokane International Airport located in Spokane, Washington. Schedule your airline flight to arrive in Spokane the Friday preceding your hunt date. Exception for bear hunters, inquire about scheduling flight dates for Spring Black Bear hunts.
