The management program for the past 16 years has been focused on growing the trophy southern whitetail.
Eastern turkeys thrive on the property. They can usually be found in several of our wheat fields or among our planted pines. We also have many mature trees in creek bottoms where the turkeys love to roost. There is nothing like a spring morning hunt when you can listen to multiple birds hammer gobbles at you from different directions, the experience is truly amazing.
Wild hog hunting is another option you will certainly enjoy. It is available beginning in May and runs through June, a time when most hunters feel they have to put their bows and guns away until the next season begins. Since 1990 we have harvested over 400 wild hogs. Typically, wild hogs move from place to place, depending on the food source and the time of year. They may not win any awards for their smell, but our cooks can smoke some of the finest tasting pork you've ever had.
