Cutawhiskie Creek Outfitters is your complete hunting outfitter. We are located in Menola, NC, which is about 12 miles outside of Ahoskie, NC . Menola is in the SW corner of Hertford County, which is in the heart of the best Whitetail Deer hunting in North Carolina. Our 4,100 acres of prime hunting land in Hertford, NorthHampton, Bertie, Tyrrell, Currituck, and Camden counties with numerous hunting stands. All of our land is composed of a mixture of swamp bottoms, hardwoods, pine blocks, thickets, marshlands, and grain fields. Cutawhiskie Creek Outfitters is a guide service that does our best to help you experience that hunt of a lifetime. We have a vision of what a good hunting service should be and we want to convey that to our guests. To ensure a personalized hunting experience we limit the number of hunters to 4-6 per week during Archery Season and 6-10 during Gun Season. This will ensure low hunting pressures on owned and leased property.

We offer a Guide service that's not afraid to share techniques for stand placement, scouting, lures, calls and rattling techniques used to harvest large Whitetail's in this area. Due to recent droughts in the eastern US, we have added several small ponds to provide our herd with extra watering holes. Cutawhiskie Creek never runs dry!! It runs through the entire property!! This will hopefully prevent any deadly diseases to spread through this area..

We offer the largest deer seasons in the United States extending from early September until January 1. Our state's limit is six deer per season, which also includes a limit of two deer per day. This summer we have added more food plots and minerals to ensure the proper antler growth and health of our herd. Summer management food plots are the most important thing for the mass and antler growth of whitetail deer. As you will see in our photo gallery, we also have many feeders for corn and peanuts that work wonderfully. We feed year round!!!!!!

At Cutawhiskie Creek Outfitters, hunters will enjoy some of the best whitetail deer hunting found anywhere. Both bow hunters and gun hunters are welcome, September through January we offer a wonderful opportunity to harvest several deer or that buck of a lifetime. You will choose from a wide variety of different stand locations placed strategically to accommodate varying wind conditions and movement patterns of deer..

Whitetail bucks typically obtain maximum antler size between 5.5 and 8.5 years of age. These older mature bucks are our primary focus. This often involves aggressive doe harvest (higher than QDM) and intensive habitat management. This also requires passing on numerous quality younger bucks with nice racks. We maintain accurate harvest records to assess management progress and to fine tune management strategies..

The Hunt

Our hunts start early in the morning after coffee and biscuits at the lodge, about one hour before sunrise. Our guest will be given a VHF Radio and will be dropped off close to the stand they draw and will walk to ensure not to disturb any trophy deer nearby. This method has worked wonderful in the past. We do not use any motor vehicles unless needed to pick up harvested game. As a part of our commitment to giving each hunter a personalized hunting experience, we can walk or drive hunters directly to thier stand and assist them in and out quietly and safely if they choose us too. We provide the ride on all electric UTV's due to most of our stands locations are in extremely remote areas. We have numerous handheld VHF radios to ensure the comfort of all of our hunters. Some may want to hunt longer than others. Radios come in very handy. Most guys hunt till 11-12 and come in for lunch. Then head straight back out about 3-4 hrs before dusk for your evening hunt. Hunters may stay in their stand all day if they choose too!!!! SMART!!!!

Lodging
Accommodations for up to 12 people are available in our comfortable, heated and air conditioned, two story hunting lodge located on the property. We have satellite TV, and Internet Access as well. The guest rooms consist of 6 singles upstairs, and 2 Bunk Beds and a Queen in the downstairs room!! Washrag's,Towels, soap, and shampoo are included as well.

Our packages include your stay at our hunting lodge plus 2 1/2 meals a day. Coffee, doughnuts, Sasauge biscuits, cereal, for breakfast. Lunch around 11-12, and delicious home cooked meals every night for dinner.
