Boss Guiding offers guided hunts for geese, ducks and released pheasants in the Stettler area of south central Alberta Canada. Bow hunts for whitetail deer and mule deer are also available.

Boss Guiding is situated in south central Alberta just outside the town of Stettler. We have been guiding for waterfowl since the mid 1980’s.Operating out of Nighthaven Lodge since 1995, hunting ducks and geese is our specialty. We also offer bow hunting for whitetail and mule deer and hunting for released upland game birds.

We do not promote large numbers of hunters as we are very conscious of the pressure on local birds. Your hosts, Bob and Norma Byers, owner/operators of Boss Outfitters, would like to invite you to three days of incredible waterfowling. Bob has been an avid hunter and outdoorsman all his life. He is also an accomplished taxidermist as visitors to Nighthaven Lodge will attest. Norma is head cook and bottle washer and provides some levity when she announces to new groups that she has heard every hunting story there is to tell; only the names, places and dates have changed. Norma will make sure that you are looked after with all the comforts of Nighthaven Lodge provides comfortable accommodations based on double occupancy. Guests are treated like visiting family members. This beautiful country lodge provides a relaxed atmosphere that is just right for unwinding after the day’s hunting adventures are complete.

Our Staff

A pleasant, knowledgeable, experienced staff, using state of the art equipment will do their very best to see that you have the “shoot of a lifetime”. Jason and Cody, our bird guides and spotters are excellent hunters of waterfowl and deer. Guide and caller Bob Rawlusyk rounds out the “bird team”. Mule and whitetail deer hunts are handled by “deer fanatic” Aaron. All very competent hunters turned guides, they will do their very best to see that your trip is a memorable one.
